Bio
Kimberly (KIMestry) Diamond is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. She is a graduate of Benedict College with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a licensed cosmetologist since 1993. Kimberly chose to reach for her dream of becoming an entrepreneur in 2010 by launching the holistic living and natural hair salon called KIMestry, LLC. The mission of KIMestry is to empower women through beauty, health, and faith placing a special interest on natural hair care and holistic living. Her motto is “Finding the NATURUAL you is not a science, it’s KIMestry”.
In addition to offering clients an individual experience in the salon, KIMestry serves as a retail destination for those seeking high quality internationally imported products for natural hair care and herbal supplements for your body to improve your quality of life. This eclectic, yet peaceful haven, aims to transform the lives of women on a daily basis by building self-esteem, teaching self-love, and promoting natural hair, and holistic living. Kimberly’s spiritual philosophy is “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.
KIMestry has always walked by faith, and not by sight. She was raised in a Christian household with very strong Christian values. Her parents raised her up in church and she has been a member of her church for 40 years. She is a very active member of her church where she sings in the choir, and volunteers on several ministries. Her parents taught her to always go after her dreams, and with God the sky was the limit. Her passion is helping people maximize their faith and fulfill their purpose in life.
She launched her motivational speaking company and spiritual t-shirt apparel line SUPERnatural Faith by KIMestry in May of 2015. She gives faith based workshops to various groups and organizations where she empowers individuals to tap into their SUPERnatural Faith.
KIMestry is active in the community and supports various worthy causes, such as sponsoring the City of Columbia’s Annual Mayor’s Walk against Domestic Violence, and has provided generous support for organizations such as Sister Care and SCCADVASA. KIMestry has been a continual business supporter of the Annual Harambee Festival and Black Expo events.
Featured on various media outlets, KIMestry has been featured in Carolina Panorama Newspaper as Business of the Week, The State Newspaper’s Health Education Campaign focusing on educating clients on colorectal cancer, WIS TV’s Awareness Community Affairs Program, SC ETV “Connections” hosted by PA Bennett, City Talk Radio Show, which airs on WGCV 620 AM and City TV, City of Columbia’s public education channel. KIMesty has been a repeat guest of Good Day Columbia WACH Fox TV Morning Show where she spoke on various topics concerning domestic violence education as well as Holistic Living. KIMestry’s brand continues to grow through these media outlets as well as social media. Her followers reach out to her on a daily basis for advice on finding their purpose in life, building their faith, and for tips on natural hair and holistic living.
While managing a busy professional schedule, she also frequently serves as a judge for pageants; emcee and panelist for special events, image consultant, and natural lifestyle coach. An experienced public speaker and trainer she has served as a judge for the Mr. and Miss Benedict Pageant, special guest speaker for the CA Johnson High School JAGG program, a panelist and guest speaker for The Leading Ladies female youth group at Brookland Baptist Church, the Blythewood High School Natural Hair Group -C.U.R.L.S., and various hair care, health care, and holistic living workshops. KIMestry is a strong advocate for celibacy and speaks frequently on the topic with both single adults and teenagers.
